HOLLY HUNT LAUNCHES 40TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION

The American luxury design brand collaborated with founder Holly Hunt to create HH40, a new furniture and lighting collection

New York, NY | June 2023 – In honor of the premier luxury design brand’s 40th anniversary, HOLLY HUNT is excited to introduce HH40 – a new collection of furniture and lighting created by the HOLLY HUNT Studio team, led by Executive Creative Director Jo Annah Kornak and in collaboration with Founder, Holly Hunt. The collection comprises an assortment of 18 designs including a sofa, lounge and dining chairs, tables, bedroom furniture, a chandelier, a pendant and sconces.

Meticulously handcrafted in HOLLY HUNT’s American workrooms, the HH40 collection maintains the legacy of materiality, craftsmanship and quality that the brand has built over the last four decades. It also looks to the future by expanding the ways in which design can be a vessel for personal expression. The collection incorporates many elements, defined by artfully crafted pieces ranging from the refined and architectural, to the organic and sensual.

“This was an extraordinary collaboration for HOLLY HUNT Studio,” says Kornak. “We worked closely with Holly to transform ideas and concepts into pieces that function as a perfectly articulated detail in the story of how our clients live. There is a level of freedom present in this collection, encouraging one to experiment with contrasting design styles to create an unforgettable and authentic arrangement. From the organically shaped Petro Table to the more refined and architectural Tubac Lounge Chair, each piece is both impactful on its own and harmonious when paired together.”
“It was important to deliver a collection that is true to the HOLLY HUNT DNA of classic and timeless, yet sets a fresh direction for our next 40 years,” says HOLLY HUNT President Marc Szafran. “Jo Annah, Holly and our design studio each played an important role in developing these designs. Through it all, innovation, scale, proportion, quality of materials and craftsmanship were the driving forces and continue to be what sets us apart. We want to create special pieces that are livable and last for generations.”

HH40 debuted at HOLLY HUNT’s New York showroom and online at hollyhunt.com in June, and will roll out to additional HOLLY HUNT showrooms in the US and in London, UK, later this year. The collection will soon expand with new pieces to be added in 2024.

The HH40 Collection includes:

Dune Sofa and Lounge Chair
Inspired by the refined yet malleable shape of sand dunes, the Dune Sofa and Lounge Chair feature hand-tailored upholstery with crisp seams. The silhouette is structured yet comfortable, resembling an architectural embrace. The sofa features a solid walnut base with four feet, which gives the illusion that it is hovering above the floor. The chair also comes with a solid walnut base, available with a swivel or stationary four feet.

Tubac Lounge Chair
The Tubac Lounge Chair is a feat of engineering masquerading as a modern take on a classic mid-century design. The sculptural, anodized aluminum frame is meticulously crafted to create the illusion of a singular supportive element. Strategic use of negative space in both the frame and upholstered seat and back adds lightness to this substantial slipper-style design, making it ideal for grouping in spaces large and small.

Caldera Cocktail Table
The Caldera Cocktail Table was inspired by aerial views of its namesake: the craters that remain after a volcano erupts. Its design is deceptively minimal, featuring a stone slab that is intricately cut and finished to sit effortlessly within the cast-bronze frame. The Caldera Cocktail Table is available in two sizes that can be used individually or nested, and the top is available in ten stones including Calacatta Viola marble.

Petro Drink Table
The Petro Drink Table is a quietly dramatic design, with a weighty bronze base cast using a mold that was hand-carved to resemble rock striations. Set into the textural base is a slab of stone that is precision cut and finished to ensure a perfect fit. It is available in nine stones including Cosmopolitan Quartzite.

Eon Bedroom Series
The Eon Bedroom Series is a testament to sophisticated modular design, offering three customizable pieces that are sleek and timeless in any configuration. The centerpiece of this series, the Eon Bed, was imagined as an art piece for the bedroom with options to customize color and texture. A pair of oak or walnut wood wings featuring integrated dimmable lighting, a metal finish and upholstered back panel can be added on to complement the bolster headboard. Equally charming as a stand-alone piece, the Eon Nightstand fits perfectly inside each wing for an integrated system. Its cantilevered design mimics that of the Eon Bed, and the asymmetrical silhouette echoes the third and final piece in this series the Eon Drawer Cabinet, which features a set of four or six soft-close drawers. Both the cabinet and the nightstand are available in walnut, oak or a luxurious lacquer finish, topped with solid brass hardware.

Deja Vu Dining Table
The Deja Vu Dining Table is an ultra-versatile piece that will hold its own in a conference room as well as a dining room. The top – available in oak, walnut or European chestnut – features a distinctive exaggerated bevel edge with a metal inlay detail. The base consists of two pedestals with slices of lacquer, metal or wood that sandwich a central metal slice, with one side repeating the dramatic bevel detail of the top.

Roswell Dining Side Chair and Arm Chair
The Roswell Dining Chair features strong architectural lines with a frame crafted from solid walnut. The angular silhouette is softened by plush, supportive upholstery. Available with or without arms, the Roswell Dining Chair fills the perennial need for a seat that is stylish, utilitarian and comfortable enough to encourage lingering for hours over a long meal. The result is a tailored ergonomic workhorse with a light footprint that is as welcome at a dining table as at a conference table.

Ripple Side Table and High Tide Drink Table
The Ripple Side Table and its more diminutive sister, the High Tide Drink Table, are inspired by visual and tactile discoveries made on beach walks. The base for each – a Slovenian marble sourced from a quarry that dates back to 1721 – is hand-finished and shows a unique color variation that passes from dark and light gray to a dreamy pink. Both feature an elegant, anodized aluminum top, which is offered in a color palette of neutral and jewel tones that echo those found in beach glass.

Strata Chandelier
Inspired by the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, the Strata Chandelier is a study in line, plane and volume realized with strategically placed panels of slumped glass in a beautiful shade of umber. The cleverly integrated LEDs create a combination of linear and shapely forms of light that simultaneously cast light above and below. This substantial fixture is decorative, sophisticated and sculptural.

Monument Sconce
The Monument Sconce presents a marriage of two noble materials in slim but substantial forms. A vertical casting method was used to create the oval-shaped glass rod, leaving behind chill marks and bubbles that reflect and refract warm LED light above and below. The rod is nestled within an asymmetrical solid brass structure.

Prism Sconce
Modern with a jewel-like form, the Prism Sconce is composed of a faceted cast-glass diffuser set within a brass frame and backlit by LEDs. The angular dimensional design showcases a seamless blend of frosted and polished surfaces, as well as a balanced diffusion of light. It is offered in three colored glass options.

Torus Pendant and Sconce
The Torus Pendant and Sconce draw inspiration from the sea—the flawless forms are like a seashell shaped by the natural ebb and flow of water. The round diffuser is crafted from fine porcelain, a material prized for its translucent quality and delicate beauty, with a textured surface reminiscent of rippling waters, which is accentuated when illuminated. Each fixture consists of a circular form that revolves around a center axis without being touched, creating a ring-like shape for which the series is named.
